Hi guys! Ceres and Rukawa no Miko (the wonderful fanfic admins of Animeslamdunk) interviewed the fabulous aces of Kanagawa Prefecture. But during our meeting at the restaurant, Sakuragi with his snooping ability went to our table and wants to be interviewed too! So we have no choice but to say yes (Hey, we want to end this in peace). We now post the results for minna-san, particularly the fellow members of their teams! Enjoy!

Ceres: Hello, guys! How are you today?

Sakuragi: Tensai always okay!
Rukawa: Sleepy…
Sendoh: I’m pretty chipper today. Hey, Maki-san, Fujima-san.
Fujima: Hi, Sendoh. I’m a little tired since I always have my hands full.
Maki: Confident…I’m always confident.

Rukawa no Miko: Is there any particular reason why you’ll let us interview you?

Sakuragi: So my fans would admire the tensai more!
Rukawa: What fans? Monkeys?
Sakuragi: RUKAWA!!
Sendoh: I know some people are interested at me, especially in Ryonan, so I should show them info about myself. Besides, the sooner we end this, the sooner I can get back in fishing!
Fujima: So my fans will know more about me. What else?
Maki: So the others would respect me for my talent and achievements. I know SOME people (looks at Sakuragi) make fun of my looks.

Rukawa no Miko: If a fan ever wants to know something particular about you, what info would you provide for that otaku?

Sakuragi: That I’m tensai!! (we hear Shohoku members sigh)
Fujima: That I’m still the best in basketball and looks…no matter how many times Shohoku or Kainan beats Shoyo! (we hear Shoyo members sigh)
Sendoh: That I enjoy cooking and fishing. (we see Ryonan members shake their heads)
Rukawa: That I want to be left alone. (No surprise there…)
Maki: That I’m the best in all of Japan! (All the interviewees glare at him)

Q: What makes you different from any basketball player?

Sakuragi: I’m tensai, of course! And no one can beat me!! Nyahahahaha!!
Fujima: I am a player yet a coach at the same time. I don’t think anyone—not even Maki—can handle that much pressure. No one they beat us year after year: they have that great strategist-coach and he holds the victory to their team. (“Yeah!” We can hear all the Shoyo members nod their heads in agreement.)
Maki:…hmmm, I’ll get you for that one next time, Fujima. But first, well, I’m not really sure yet.
Sakuragi: Oh I know! I know! He’s the only thirty-year-old player and student in high school! Nyahahahaha!!
Maki: Deme, Hanami…(He hears the Kainan players snicker outside the window) Nani, you guys, too?! You’ll pay for this!
Sendoh: I am the only player—well, besides Rukawa, that is—who doesn’t and wouldn’t ever cry when he loses in a game. (All the red-faced interviewees besides Rukawa give him the death glare, in their minds sharing the same thought: Omae wo korosu (I’ll kill you!)
Rukawa: snooze………
Sakuragi: Hehehehe…there you go, interviewers! He’s the laziest, stupidest, and the foxiest guy in the group!!

Rukawa no Miko: Nan desu te (What did you say)!!?? Prepare to be chopped liver, Sakuragi!!!!
Ceres: Yamete (Stop it), RnM! Remember, we’re still on the interview!
Rukawa no Miko: Shoot…I’ll remember this…

Ceres: If a legion of fans happens to see you, what is the first thought that comes to your head?

Maki: Hmph…Ms. Ceres, I don’t think Sakuragi can relate to this question.
Sakuragi: Oh yeah, Senior!?
Sendoh: This happened to me before and I thought this first in the exact words: “I better run before they tear me apart!”
Rukawa: “Here comes more annoying bunch who disturbs me.” (We hear Rukawa fans cry)
Fujima: “Ahhh…my fans…I better act nice to them.”
Maki: “I really like it when I see crowds who respect me.”

Rukawa no Miko: What do you want for a fan to do if one meets you?

Sakuragi: Praise me and say, “Ah, you are the greatest Tensai Basket-to man I know”!
Rukawa: Leave me alone, obviously, if s/he respects my dedication to basketball. (poor Rukawa no Miko is really, really close to tears.)
Sendoh: Invite me to a nice spot where I can fish. If not, maybe give me lemons.
Fujima: Shake my hand. They always ask me to do that, and I don’t mind at all.
Maki: Ask for my autograph or a souvenir. Wait, that’s dangerous.

Ceres: (comforts depressed Rukawa no Miko) What do you mean?

Maki: Well, when we were having a practice last week, some group came by and took all our balls saying, “Souvenirs!!” So we couldn’t get to any practice until we used up our allowance and brought new balls.
Sakuragi: Hmm…they are good fans.
Maki: Lay off.

Ceres: Ok, last question! Why did you pick your school and your team like it is now?

Sakuragi: I don’t know…I used to hate basketball first because of Oda, but now it looks like fate brought Haruko-san and me together!
Rukawa: Like I said to that old man Taoka, it’s nearest to my house.

Rukawa no Miko: (sniffles) It didn’t matter to you if that team is weak or strong?

Rukawa: It doesn’t matter. Any opponent team I will beat, no matter how tough.
Fujima: I already chose Shoyo even before I graduated from junior high because my friends Hanagata and Hasegawa said they’ll enter there, and I know with them around we’ll have a chance of being the champ.
Sendoh: I thought at first I liked the blue uniforms, but now I think it’s more than just the color blue.
Maki: I wanted to continue the invincible legend of Kainan! That’s why I joined there.

Ceres: Thanks a lot for your cooperation guys!

Sakuragi: Yay! HARUKO-SAN!
Rukawa: Finally…snooze…
Fujima: Oh no I’m late for another interview! Bye!
Sendoh: Yes, now I can fish! Anyone wanna come with me?
Maki: Hey you! I have a score to settle with your snickering!
Kainan players: YIKES! RUN FOR IT!

PS The manager of the restaurant called us the next day saying we left a friend at the table and was asleep the whole night the restaurant was closed. Guess who? ^_^;;;;
