Genius 4: Declaration of War Genius 4: Declaration of War Seigaku Jr. High - Word has spreaded of Ryoma's match with Momo and the Seigaku regulars (varsity members for us) are curious about him. Horio is currently amazed with the skill level of the players at Seigaku. He doesn't believe that Ryoma can match up to Momo if his ankle wasn't injured but Ryoma isn't really listening to him. Horio then tells all the other 1st years about how Seigaku has ranking matches to determine who gets into the regular team and who doesn't. Meanwhile, 2nd year Arai is looking for the "great 1st" who is Ryoma, but Ryoma lies and says that Horio is the great player. Arai is upset because Horio is acting like a know-it-all to all the other 1st years. He tells them that all the 1st years will do is pick up balls to train their endurance till summer camp comes around. The ranking matches are determine from the 2nd and 3rd year players. The regular shows up but since the captain isn't there yet, they are free to use the courts. Horio notices how skilled the regulars actually are, they have perfect aim when hitting high lobs. Oishi, the co-captain, is giving the regulars tips on who to improve their form (even though they still hit every shot into the basket). Arai continues to pick on Horio but soon finds out that it was Ryoma that played Momo, not Horio. Oishi gives Fuji a bad lob and Ryoma hits it into the basket with ease. Arai is angry that Ryoma lied to him and that he's showing off. As he grab Ryoma's shirt, Tezuka (the captain), shows up and tells both Ryoma and Arai to run 10 laps. When Arai tries to give an explaination, Tezuka tells them to run 20 laps instead. The 2nd and 3rd years begin warming up while the first years pick up the balls.
